Wealth, Success and Love
I fully support you Attawie in your attempt to spread LOVE in order to make the world a more beautiful and a less hostile place.
To show my solidarity, I have the following four famous love quotes for everybody to read, think, and to start promoting love:
Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.
If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.
In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing.
Noor el Qamar is studying very hard in preparation for her exams. She woke up last Friday morning refreshed and happy. Then she addressed the following question:
To be or not to be
Noor nicely concludes by saying:
To be, to live, and to enjoy the beautiful flowers. Oh Hamlet the answer is to be! With love.
Sunshine is the 2nd Iraqi blogger who is too busy studying for the exams. She is allowing nothing to deter her from the main objective which is to get the highest possible marks. However, Sunshine is determined to minimize their impact on her study. In a recent post, Sunshine talked about her exams preparation:
Back to you, with few lines...
Touta is the 3rd Iraqi blogger, atop a date-palm tree preparing for her exams but she has a more liberal view of exam preparation:
I thought i had exams too in a week, but family comes first.
The story started when Touta's extended family -which means in an Iraqi sort of terminology: parent, grandfathers and grandmothers, uncles, cousins, and may be on some occasions, nighbours and close friends- gathered in a conference to discuss two items on the agenda, the use of the Iraqi henna to dye touta's hair flaming red, and to see if it's possible to get her a tribal tattoos!
The conference after a lengthy discussions approved the use of the Iraqi henna and disapproved the tribal tattoos. However, three attempts in one day to hennanize -dye- her hair flaming red have failed because according to Touta:
I must have super genetic hair!

Abbas Hawazin is introducing the famous Iraqi song "La kabar" that was sung in 1968 by the Iraqi singer Fadhil Awad. Click and enjoy a song that is a reflection for some of the Iraqi social tradition:
La Kabar La Jefiah La Hamidhelo La Sharbat
No News No Handkercheif No Acid-sweet No Juice
The following interesting lines are taken from the song. They say a lot about the psychological specifications of the Iraqi songs:
إِلـْـعِـشِــگْ مَـا يِــنْـحِـزِرْ جَـزْرَهْ اوْ مَـدَّهْ
The tide of love is unknown
وِالـشـَّـوگْ ذَبـْـنـِـي إِبـْـحيـرِتـِـي وِاتـْـعَــدَّهْ
And longing threw me confused and left
عُـذَّالـِـي بِــيَّـهْ وِبـْـدمُـوعِـي إِتـْـشـَـفَّــتْ
Censurers took their relief seeing me and my tears

Sami is Back in Babylon walking through the ancient theatre having mixed feelings:
I have to say that Sami during his tour, remembered that one day in this very same theatre he played the lute introducing the famous Iraqi song "Wif Raghum… Bech chain…(=and their departure… had made me crying…)" to a group of Algerian musicians, to which I commented:
As to your "Wif Raghum… Bech chain" it sounds really so loud in my ears that I could see for myself that I miss all the good things in Iraq.
